Preparing for the Ultimate Challenge
As I gear up for one of the biggest challenges of my life — the Marathon Des Sables (MDS) Legendary — I’ve taken some time to reflect on the journey that’s brought me here. A huge part of that journey has been JLab, and the role they have played in my training, my mindset, and ultimately, my performance.
My Running Journey (Spoiler: I Wasn’t Always a Runner)
Let’s rewind to January. I entered the MDS Morocco – Atlantic Coast, my first experience running multiple marathons on sand. For context — I don’t come from an elite running background. My active lifestyle usually included sports, relaxed Sunday bike rides, the occasional paddleboard session, and gym workouts. Running wasn’t really part of the picture… until now.
