Proven Production
Jaydn Ott brings elite experience and production to Oklahoma as a senior running back. After three outstanding seasons at California, Ott transferred to Oklahoma with an impressive resume that includes over 2,500 career rushing yards and 24 touchdowns.
His 2023 season at Cal was exceptional, earning first-team All-Pac-12 honors from both coaches and media while being named a Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award finalist. Ott rushed for 1,315 yards and 12 touchdowns on 246 carries, leading the Pac-12 in rushing yards and ranking second in the conference in rushing touchdowns. His five 100-yard rushing games and 1,628 all-purpose yards showcased his versatility and big-play ability.
Throughout his Cal career, Ott demonstrated remarkable consistency, averaging 4.9 yards per carry while adding 95 receptions for 712 yards and six receiving touchdowns.
California Career Highlights
Ott's impact was immediate from his freshman season, when he earned freshman All-America honors from The Athletic and honorable mention All-Pac-12 recognition. His breakout performance came against Arizona as a freshman, rushing for a career-high 274 yards and three touchdowns on just 19 carries.
His sophomore campaign featured multiple highlight performances, including a 188-yard, two-touchdown effort in the season opener and a memorable 100-yard kickoff return touchdown against UCLA—his first career kick return at any level. Ott's ability to impact the game in multiple ways made him one of the Pac-12's most dangerous offensive weapons.
