Hear ear buds

Had a hard time of getting both earbuds to show in the Jlab hearing app. finally figured outthat you have to pull the one on the left out of the battery charger first. then it will always show 2. i think this is a bug in the Jlab hear software

Great product and fast shipping

I have profound hearing loss and this is such an economical choice for me. I couldn't afford after kinds in the $1000s in price. These are phenomenal even for severe profound hearing loss.

Why didn'y you install a usb-c socket on the charger?

I had to buy an additional adapter in order to charge it with a usb cable.

Hear OTC Good Starter Hearing Aids

I'm biased. I have three other pairs of JLAB buds for travel, meetings, and workouts; so I like them a lot. The Hear OTC didn't pair according to the quick start guide but I was wearing them and tuning them using the Android app within 20 mins. Bluetooth is a fiddly thing so patience is helpful. I'm missing some high-end hearing and Hear OTC makes some of that clearer. The buds also filter out most backround noise. I won't wear them fulltime. My use case will be driving in the car with talkers, and crowded/noisy spaces. My biggest concern was managing the bluetooth connections and they switch perfectly to take a phone call and between Hear OTC and Epic ANC buds. They perform exactly as expected!

I’m deaf in one ear and hard of hearing in the other can the left one be worn in the right ear or are the only made for each ear

The Hear OTC Hearing Aids are designed specifically for each ear—meaning the left and right devices are shaped and programmed to fit and function optimally in their designated ears. While it may be physically possible to wear the left device in the right ear, it likely won’t fit securely or comfortably, and the sound amplification may not be properly aligned for your hearing needs.

Can these be used independent of the cell phone? My mom doesn't carry a phone around since there isn't good signal at the house. She just uses her phone when traveling.

Yes, the JLab Hear OTC can be used independently! Since your mom doesn’t carry her phone around at home due to poor signal, she can still use the Hear OTC buds as hearing aids without any phone nearby. When she travels and has her phone, she can optionally use the app or Bluetooth features for music or calls.

Are these water resistant? can they get wet at all?

Yes, earbuds with an IPX4 rating can get wet to some extent. An IPX4 rating means they are protected from splashes of water from any direction. This makes them suitable for use during workouts or in light rain. We suggest making sure your earbuds are completely dry before placing them back in their charging case.
