On June 20th, JLab opened its doors for something special, a TikTok Shop Masterclass that brought together 90+ creators for an unforgettable day of hands-on learning, authentic content creation, and genuine connection. What started as an idea to better support our affiliate partners turned into one of the most engaging brand events we've ever hosted.
More Than Just Another Brand Event
From the moment creators walked through our HQ doors, this wasn't your typical corporate meet-and-greet. We kicked off with direct access to JLab executives, giving creators the chance to hear our brand story straight from the source—including insights from CEO Win Cramer that resonated deeply with attendees.
"I really love hearing the brand story from the CEO. I like how relatable he is," shared one creator, capturing exactly what we hoped to achieve: real connection between our brand and the people who bring our products to life on TikTok.
Four Content Zones, Endless Possibilities
The heart of our event was four immersive activation zones, each designed to showcase JLab products in authentic, real-life settings that creators could immediately relate to:
Get Ready With Me (GRWM)
This station focused on how JLab fits seamlessly into daily routines. Creators could explore how our audio products enhance everything from morning workouts to commute playlists, creating content that shows the natural integration of JLab into their "getting ready" moments.
Workspace
With remote work and productivity content trending on TikTok, our workspace zone let creators experience JLab's entire work line firsthand, from keyboards to headsets. This hands-on approach helped affiliates understand not just what we make, but how our products solve real workplace challenges.
Fitness
Given that fitness content with high-quality audio has become JLab's viral moment on TikTok Shop, this zone was essential. Creators could test our products in action, experiencing firsthand why JLab and fitness make such a powerful combination for TikTok content.
Gifting
Understanding that gifting is one of TikTok Shop's core pillars, this area showcased our products as perfect gift options, complete with deal highlights that creators could feature in their content strategies.
The JBuds Mini Experience
One of our most popular activations centered around the JBuds Mini, our smallest earbuds ever, complete with a convenient key ring attachment. Creators didn't just learn about the product; they got hands-on by creating custom mini keychains for their JBuds Mini. This interactive element perfectly demonstrated the product's portability and personal style potential while giving creators a unique, shareable moment for their own content.
Strategic Brand Partnerships
We enhanced the event experience through thoughtful brand collaborations:
HAIRtamin & DEINDE joined as affiliate partners, with 150 samples of each product shipped to our HQ ahead of time. Every creator received samples in their goodie bags, and QR codes made it easy for affiliates to add these products to their TikTok Shop showcases. Both brands were prominently featured at the GRWM station, encouraging natural, in-the-moment content creation.
Bitchin' Sauce brought energy and flavor with their branded booth, distributing swag and samples that added an extra layer of excitement to the activation zones while fueling both content creation and affiliate enthusiasm.
Learning from the Experts
Our speaker lineup brought together JLab leadership with TikTok Shop expertise. Cheryl Yee from TikTok Shop shared platform insights, while Win Cramer, JLab CEO, delivered our brand story. Aaron Levine, Director of Marketing, discussed strategy, and Reed Crawford, Chief Design Officer, explored product innovation. Tyler Runyon and Chris Jenkins, our Product Managers, provided product deep-dives, while Ryan Carlson, E-commerce Manager, covered sales insights and Audrey Van Vark, Affiliate Marketer, shared partnership strategies.
Beyond the Formal Program
The event's success came from the details that created genuine community: networking opportunities between creators, open Q&A sessions with our team, and even a local taco truck that kept everyone fueled throughout the day. These touches transformed a business event into a memorable experience.
