JBuds Frames: Respectful Sound

Respectful Sound

The new JLab JBuds Frames are comprised of two independently operating Bluetooth true wireless audio devices, which can be affixed to almost any type of glasses. The unique open-ear design feature powerful 16mm drivers that target the user's ears, without being heard by those near by. JLab calls this: respectful sound.

A dual benefit that targeted sound offers is the ability to be acutely aware of surroundings. While listening to audio content, users can be aware of their environment during any activity: working from home, taking a call on the go, or exercising outdoors. Surround awareness and respectful sound are key benefits and solutions for users.

How respectful is respectful sound?

Let’s be honest… We’re sure you’re wondering just how respectful, “respectful sound” is.  With different environments and volume levels, the distance that JBuds Frames can be heard varies by environment.

JLab found that, in most environments, JBuds Frames is indistinguishable or not heard at all at these volume/distances:

  • 30-60% volume is indistinguishable outside of six feet
  • 15-40% volume is indistinguishable outside of three feet
