Record-Breaking Production
Taylen Green has established himself as one of college football's most dynamic dual-threat quarterbacks. The Lewisville, Texas native transferred to Arkansas from Boise State and immediately made his mark, posting the second-most total offense yards in a single season in program history with 3,756 yards in 2024.
Green's 2024 season was nothing short of spectacular, throwing for 3,154 yards and rushing for 602 yards with 23 total touchdowns. He became just the fifth quarterback in Arkansas history to throw for over 3,000 yards in a season, joining elite company including Ryan Mallett and Tyler Wilson. His performance earned him AutoZone Liberty Bowl MVP honors after throwing for a bowl-record 341 yards and rushing for 81 yards in Arkansas's 39-26 victory over Texas Tech.
Dual-Threat Excellence
What sets Green apart is his exceptional ability as both a passer and runner. He became the first Arkansas quarterback to have three multi-rushing touchdown games in a season since at least 1978, including a memorable 41-yard rushing touchdown that was the longest by an Arkansas quarterback since 2004.
His standout performance came against Mississippi State, where he completed 23 of 30 passes for 314 yards and a career-high five touchdowns while adding 79 rushing yards and another score. This made him just the fifth quarterback in Arkansas history to throw for five or more touchdowns in a single game.
Championship Pedigree
Green brings proven championship experience from his time at Boise State, where he led the Broncos to their record fifth Mountain West Conference championship in 2023. As the MWC Championship Game Offensive MVP, he completed 12 of 15 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 90 yards and two more scores.
His development from Mountain West Freshman of the Year in 2022 to SEC standout demonstrates his continued growth and leadership abilities at the highest level of college football.
Looking Ahead
The future continues to look bright for Arkansas football with Green leading the Razorbacks. Named to multiple preseason watch lists including the Maxwell Award and Davey O'Brien Award, Green has established himself as one of the premier quarterbacks in the SEC and the nation.
